This is a Scottish folk art piece made from brown glaze slipware pottery with a salt glaze
The stand is large and much bigger than it appears in the photos, taking a large 60mm sized pocket watch.
The stand has a watch holder and an aperture for there – note the irregularity of this.
The back panel has
The stand is decorated with three modelled figures, standing a little away from the back panel so they are proper figures not just in high relief
The figures include a seated cow and faithful hound and a superbly realised figure of presumably a farmer with exquisite detailing on the flap of the coat and waistcoat, hat, and buckles on his breeches and shoes.
The back panel has a simple line floral pattern scraped into the clay with a stylus
The whole piece then has a salt glaze typical of Scottish pieces of this time
The stand measures 270mm x 240mm x 60mm and is in 100% mint condition
