This is a top quality Railroad grade pocket watch.
Movement – the top quality nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement has raised gold jewel settings, gold train wheels and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “A.W.W.Co, Waltham, Mass, Riverside, Maximus, 23 Jewels, Adjusted” # 11076841
The movement is in 90% mint condition – some small marks and scratches
Case – the movement comes in a 10K gold filled open face case by Keystone which has a screw on back and bezel. The case has carved sides and the back of the case has floral engraving with a vacant crest. The case is in 95% mint condition – please note the crest on the back cover is just fractionally out to one side and doesn’t line up completely with the winder.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and tumbling numerals. The dial also has red enamel 5 minute marks and is signed “Bailey, Banks and Biddle Co, Philadelphia” (an American jewellery firm which used to retail top quality watches from Patek and Tiffany). The dial is in 99% mint condition
