This watch has a good balance but the mainspring is slipping. The watch is not working.
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “BW Raymond, Elgin, Ill, USA, 17 jewel” #702628. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face which has a screw on bezel. You then pull out the winder and swing the movement out from the front. The inside of the case has a non magnetic metal liner. The case has a smooth plain finish and is decorated on the back with an engraved and gold inlay train. The case is in 90% mint condition –light wear externally.
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands and signed “Elgin”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – a flake above the 12 and light hairlines on the 2 and 3
The watch has a thick beveled mineral glass which is scratched
The watch measures 57mm wide x 19mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set.
