This is an American Railroad watch Co by the Hampden Watch Co, USA
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement has large raised gold jewel setting and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Hampden Watch Co, Canton Ohio, New Railway, 17 Jewels, Adjusted” # 860967 and is in 90% mint condition – light scratches
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case by Banner which has a screw on back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – metal coming through on the bow and on two patches on the sides; apart from that a good case
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Hampden Watch Co”. The dial has an inner 24 hour chapter ring and is in 85% mint condition – three long hairlines
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 53mm wide x 16mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set.
