This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and are included with the seal.
This is a solid gold seal – the seal has no assay marks but has been tested and is sold as solid 15K gold
The seal has a rectangular shaped base set with a foil backed smoky quartz stone and carved with the name Juliana.
The domed base has raised pink and white gold roses with green gold leaves. The strut handle is topped with a suspension loop and has a small finial. This handle is decorated with carved green and rose gold leaves in high relief.
The seal measures 22mm x 17mm x 12mm
The seal is in 95% mint condition – a beautiful piece.
