The movement was made by Waltham, USA circa 1922. It was then sent to England where it was cased and sold with hallmarks for Birmingham 1925.
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “A.W.W.Co, Waltham, USA” #24184930. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a good quality English silver half hunter case by Dennison which is heavier than normal and marked 2oz on the inside of the inner cover. The case has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has blue enamel Roman numerals on the front. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light bruises and marks on the back
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham, USA”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass over the dial and a plastic one in the front cover
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 51mm wide x 16mm deep
