This is an American railroad grade pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch Company.
Movement – the high quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with slanted damascening. The movement is signed “A.Lincoln, Illinois Watch Co, Springfield, 21 Jewels, Adjusted 5 positions” #3304705. The movement has raised gold jewel settings and a gold train and is in 99% mint condition – a superb example
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The back cover is decorated with straight line engine turning and a vacant crest. The case is in 100% mint condition – practically flawless
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Illinois” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch is stem wound / lever set
