Unusual gilt and stone set Victorian MASONIC Fob c1890

This is a Victorian fob which would have been worn on the end of a watch chain but these days could be used as a pendant or charm

The fob is made up of two pieces of black agate which are bound together by a gilt claw setting and which has a suspension loop so it can be attached to a watch chain

The stones are engraved on each side. One has a 6 pointed star. The other has the classic Masonic imagery of the square and compass

The fob measures 27mm x 13mm x 6mm and is in 90% mint condition – the suspension loop has lost its original gilding and there is a flaw or scratch on the side with the square and compass
