This piece of jewellery was purchased many years ago by a respected jeweller and kept in her collection until now. It is one of the most unusual variants of a locket I have seen with the combination of two colour gold and the diamond and sapphire used on the subject; a bee.
This is beautiful piece can be used as a locket but it could also be used as a watch chain, hanging from a waistcoat or blazer pocket as it is attached to a short gold watch chain with dog clip.

The square locket is decorated on the front with an engraved bee. The wings are in yellow 18K gold and the body is set with a diamond and sapphire
On the reverse there is an engraved scroll monogram
The locket opens up and inside there is a gold frame with glass
The locket measures 21.7mm x 13.8mm x 5.6mm
The chain is 15K gold and so is the dog clip. The chain measures 110mm from the dog clip to the locket.
