This is a Swiss pocket watch made circa 1890.
The watch has silver marks for .800
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The bezel is signed “Ancre Datum Uhr, Systeme Perfectionne”
The case has gilt bezels and engine turning on the back. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – this is overall a very clean, crisp case however by the thumbpiece on the back are some short but deep knife marks and also two small dings.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of gilt hands and pointers. Under the 12 is the month function and this is changed manually the corresponding wheel under the dial; the same is true of the day function by the 3. The date and moonphase functions change automatically every 24 hours and can also be altered manually by their corresponding wheels. The dial is decorated with gold enamel leaves. The dial is in 95% mint condition – a couple of ultra feint hairlines.
