Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and is in 95% mint condition - light marks only.
Case – the movement comes in a massive white metal open face case, which has a hinged back and snap on bezel. The inner cover is signed “Ancre Double Plateau, Leves Visibles, 15 Rubis” The case is decorated with a gilt border on the back edge and bezel, which is decorated with a raised pattern of flowers in the Art Nouveau style. The back of the case is engraved with a scene of two pointer dogs and is in 95% mint condition – light wear only.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is decorated with red and gold enamel cartouches for each number and the dial decorated with a detailed image of an early steam train. The is dial is signed “Regulateur Ernest Magnin, Besancon” The dial is in 99% mint condition – a superb dial
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass – this has one small chip.
The watch measures 66mm wide x 21mm deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set.
