This is a Swiss pocket watch made by Doxa. It comes with a vintage cardboard box.
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Doxa” and is in 80% mint condition – some small scratches
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The inner cover is signed “Doxa, Medaille D’or Milan 1906, Hons Concours, Liege, 1905”. The inner cover is also decorated with a row of 5 individual medals in miniature embellished in gold.
The case has a vacant crest on the back and is decorated with engine turning. The sides have a smooth plain finish and the case is in 85% mint condition – some small ding on the edge of the case
Dial – the white enamel has a full set of blue steel hands and an inner 24 hour ring. The dial is signed “Doxa” and is in 90% mint condition – a faint hairline on the 11.
The watch has its original mineral glass – but this has a small chip on the edge
The watch measures 51mm wide x 12mm deep
