This movement was made in Switzerland but made for the English market. The movement was sent to England where it was cased and sold. The case has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1937
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Selex, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made, DF & Co”. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a solid English silver case by Dennison. It has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The case has coin edged sides, engine turning and a vacant cartouche. The case is in crisp 95% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. It is signed “The Norfolk Lever, AMFS Norwich, Dimra Swiss Made” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 49mm wide x 14mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
