This watch is much bigger than usual and rather than being carried in a pocket watch was usual placed in a case for a desk or sometimes hung on a wall.
I have taken a few images of it next to a regular 50mm / 2 inches or an American 16 size watch to give an idea of scale
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement, 15 jewels and is in 95% mint condition – superb condition with just some small marks on the winding wheels.
The movement is protected by a glass cover held in place by a bezel
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and a hinged bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – light marks and scuffs on the back only
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.
The watch measures 66mm wide x 20mm deep. It measures 96mm from the tip of the bow to the opposite side of the case at the 6 position
The watch is stem wound / pin set
