This pocket watch was made by Longines of Switzerland for the American market, circa 1905

Movement – the nickel 3 finger bridge movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement is signed “H J Howe, Syracuse NJ, 17 Jewels, Adjusted, safety pinion, Swiss” # 1674615. The movement is in 80% mint condition – a build up of fine scratches

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The inner cover is engraved “Louis O Buckholz from Father, August 17th 1907”

The back of the case has a scroll monogram with initials LOB and a smooth plain finish on the rest of the case. The case is in 85% mint condition – some metal coming through on the edge of the case

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Longines”. The dial is in 99% mint condition

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 51mm x 13mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
