This pocket watch was evaluated by the British Army and given the grade “B” as a BACK up model to the General Service Mark II watches
Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Two Adjustments, 15 Rubies Swiss Made” and is in 90% mint condition –light marks
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is signed “Rye & Marchland Ltd” on the inside of the back cover. The back of the back cover is engraved “B 33649” on back and also on the side. The back also has an engraved military issue arrow. The watch does not have a bow or holes to accommodate one either and so this watch would have been used in a wooden case probably as a deck watch The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a superb example
Dial – the white enamel dial is signed “Rye & Marchand Ltd, Swiss Made” and is in 100% mint condition.
The watch has a plastic glass
The watch measures 51mm x 14mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
