This is a Swiss pocket watch made by Lanco which was made for the South African military
Movement – nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Lanco, 15 Rubis, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 70% mint condition – a considerable amount of spotting on the winding wheels
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is engraved with a U and military arrow plus A108. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – some small spots and a small dent.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a old luminous numbers and hands. The dial is signed “Lanco, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 85% mint condition – a faint hairline on the 9 to the 4 via the sub seconds and three small chips on the dial hidden by the bezel.
The watch measures 57mm wide x 14mm deep.
