This pocket watch was made for the Chinese market
Movement – the beautifully carved gilt movement has a lever escapement. It is jeweled throughout and is decorated with ultra ornate carving. To one side there is a signature in Mandarin. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged back cover stamped with the matching signature to the movement. The case has a smooth plain finish. The case is in 85% mint condition – the inner glass over the movement is missing, as is the back spring so you need to open the back cover manually when you press the button in. Finally there are some bruises and dents on the bezel.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a sweep centre seconds hand with matching blue steel hands and is also signed in gold enamel. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with a gilt Chinese market pocket watch key
The watch measures 55mm wide x 19mm deep
