This pocket watch was made by Hebdomas circa 1915 and has a superb case made by Hugenin
Sometime in the 1970s it was acquired by the Arnex Watch company who put a new balance and endstone in and signed the movement, case and dial
Movement – the 8 day pocket watch movement has a very long mainspring completely covered with a mainspring cover which is signed “8 Jours, Ancre, Qualitie Superiuere Garantie, Paris 1900, Milan 1916, Chicago 1902, Geneve 1892”. The movement is also signed “Arnex Time Co, 15 Jewels, Unadjusted, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 100% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a superb base metal case which is decorated with a scene on the back in tremendous high relief and detail showing St Eustace receiving his divine vision when hunting. This top quality case is signed “Huegenin” – a case maker of renowned talent. The case is also signed on the inside “Arnex Time Co, Swiss”. The case is in 100% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a visible balance and regulator. The dial is decorated with gold enamel flowers and is signed “Hebdomas, Arnex, 15 Jewels, 8 Jours, 8 Days”. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a plastic glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 16mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
