This is a Swiss pocket watch made for and used by the British Army in the Second World War.
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “259, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a superb example.
Case – the movement comes in a metal open face case, which is marked with military markings on the back with a government issue arrow and GS/TP, P41710. The case is in 85% mint condition – a build up of many light scratches
Dial – the black paint on metal dial has alternating luminous and white numbers, old luminous hands. The dial has a distinctive white sub seconds dial and the is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a plastic glass
The watch measures 51mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set.
