This is a genuine vintage Rolex pocket watch which. The movement was made in Switzerland by Rolex and the movement was send to England where it was cased and sold. The movement is one of the scarcer Rolex variants being a Cal 550
Movement – the god quality nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Rolex, Cal 550, Timed 3 positions for all climates, Swiss Made” 348. The movement is in 99% mint condition – a superb example
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case made by Dennison, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel.
The case has an inscription to the original owner on the inner cover.
The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 100% mint condition – a practically flawless case
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Rolex, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 100% mint condition – a flawless dial
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass – this has some scratches
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 49mm x 13mm deep
