This is a silver cased French verge pocket watch which made circa 1810

This pocket watch has a good balance and chain and is running but gains over an hour in 24 hours

Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has a pierced watch cock with a silver regulator disc. The movement is signed “Lucas a Honfleur” and in 95% mint condition – a lovely example

Case – the movement has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound and set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case has coin edged sides and is decorated with floral engraving and engine turning on the back and small engraved initials “E & J”. The case is in 95% mint condition – a good example

Dial – the white enamel dial has gilt hands and is signed “Lucas a Honfleur”. The dial is in 90% mint condition – a deep scratch on the 1 which has got dirty with age; it would benefit from a clean and the dial would then look a lot better

The watch has a domed mineral glass

The watch measures 38mm wide x 14.6mm deep – a SMALL sized watch

The watch is key wound / key set and comes with an antique watch key
