This is a large timepiece which would have been put in a leather or a silver and leather desk case rather than be carried
This pocket watch is working but the movement is quite dirty and gummy. It has not been cleaned or serviced and is sold with No Warranty
I have also included a leather watch holder / desk stand with the watch. Although not original, it is the right size BUT will require some modification to the insert to get the watch to sit properly in the holder.
Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with an alarm function with a hammer striking on gongs. The movement is signed “Juvenia mfg Watch Co, 17 Jewels, Unadjusted” and is in 75% mint condition – dirty
Case – the large case has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The 45mm movement sits within the larger frame. The inner has an aperture for an on / off for the alarm
The inside of the back cover is signed “Juvenia, Fab Suisse, Juvenia, Mfg, Swiss”. The case has a copper coloured back. The rest of the case has a white metal finish. The case has unusual stem with a button which you press repeatedly to set the hands. The case is in 80% mint condition – some small dents and bruises
Dial – the silvered dial has large gilt hands and a gilt baton hand for the alarm. The dial is signed “Otto Grun, 8 Days, Alarm” The dial is in 90% mint condition – small marks only
The watch measures 78mm wide x 22mm deep
