This is a large timepiece which would have been put in a leather or a silver and leather desk case rather than be carried
The watch has a broken glass and the balance is over banked and not ticking, possibly a bent pivot or a broken balance. Plus the mainspring is slipping
The watch will require work which is reflected in the price
Movement – nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement, is decorated with damascening and is in 80% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and a snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – scuffs and marks on the back and requires a polish
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 85% mint condition – a chip on the edge of the dial by the two and a hairline in the centre
The watch has a mineral glass – cracked
The watch measures 64mm wide x 22mm dep
The watch is stem wound / pin set
