This pocket watch will tick but the balance doesn’t have a good swing – it has a very jerly action and loses around 20 minutes in 24 hours. It has not been cleaned or serviced and is sold with no warranty

Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and is stamped GN 260270. The movement is in 90% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in an English silver case with hallmarks for London 1884

The case has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – the back has many light scratches and marks. The bow has been replaced with a gilt example and there is also a small ding on the edge

Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of blue steel hands which point to the inner chapter ring showing the time from 1-12. These hands make 2 revolutions every 24. There is also a gilt hand with a longer reach, pointing to the outer track indicating the 24 hour clock with numbers from 1-24. This hand makes 1 revolution every 24.

The dial is in 99% mint condition – no damage, just dirty
