This is a rare example of an early Vacheron and Constantin when they first formed their collaboration in 1819.

Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has a pierced watch cock and is signed “Vacheron & Constantin a Geneve, No 44070”. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a very clean movement apart from a * engraved on the plate above the movement catch.

Case – the movement comes in a silver a hunter case, which has a hinged back cover and front cover and a hinged bezel over the dial. The inside of the back cover is engraved 44070.

The front cover is decorated with a gold cartouche and small enamel horse. The rest of the case has engine turning and is in 90% mint condition – a very crisp case but the front cover does not pop open and needs to be lifted manually open and the case has old tarnish

Dial – the white enamel dial is signed “Vacheron and Constantin a Geneve”. The dial has a gold hour hand and a gilt minute hand and the dial is in 100% mint condition
