The watch has a good spring but the balance is not swinging – it doesn’t look broken but it doesn’t move more than half a tun. It is NOT working and is sold with no warranty or guarantee.
Also the watch has NO glass
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement signed “Longines” 4456775. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a superb example but not working
Case – the movement comes in a silver hunter, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover.
The front cover pops open to 10 degrees when you press the winder in and needs to be lifted to the full 90 degrees.
The case is decorated with striped engraving and then covered in black niello enamel to give the case the black and silver striped effect.
The inner cover is signed “Longines, Grand Prix” and decorated with individual medals
The case is in 85% mint condition – there are two dents on the sides of the case.
Dial – the white enamel has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Longines”.
The dial is in 95% mint condition – a tiny hairline on the 11.
The watch has NO glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 12mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
