The watch has a large bruise on one side, hence the reason it is being sold for restoration
The watch case has clear hallmarks for London 1936
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement, is signed “J W Benson, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made” and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a solid 9K gold JWB open face case which has a hinged back and snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 75% mint condition – many small bruises on the back and front and one deeper on one side
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “J W Benson, London, Swiss Made” The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 48.5mm x 13mm deep
