This watch has not been cleaned or serviced. The winding and setting can be a bit stiff, possibly due to the patent mechanism which does not engage fully all the time. The day and date function change but not in sync. The month is changed manually and the moon is changed manually but the pin is in a very awkward position and doesn’t change perfectly because of this. All the motion work is under the dial and the watch ticks but the hands do not rotate - they can be set OK however.
Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and a star lever to activate the moonphase. The movement is in 70% mint condition – many marks.
Sitting on this is a silver dial within a metal casing which holds the moonphase functions. This dial is decorated with engine turning and has a very attractive reverse paint on glass disc for the moon
Case – the metal case has a hinged back and front bezel, with a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – a dull colour
Dial – the white enamel has gold enamel numbers, a full set of blue steel hands and is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass on the back and front
The watch is stem wound / patent lever set
The watch measures 51mm wide x 21mm deep
