Beautiful Gilt Metal Chatelaine and Matching Seal. Circa 1890

This is a gilt metal Chatelaine which has a hinged clasp at one end with a spike to secure it securely. There is also a length of fine mesh links and a dog clip to attach to the watch in the pocket. The remaining chatelaine would then hang from the pocket. The chatelaine is made up of three oval hollow links ornately decorated with pierced work. Hanging from it is a matching seal with same pierced decoration. The chain measures 110mm from end to end and is in 95% mint condition.
