This is a ship’s deck watch made by Zenith.
It comes in its original tiered box with all original attachments and key
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate, 15 Jewels movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is signed “Zenith” # 1953972. The movement is in 85% mint condition
Dial – the large metal silvered dial with gold numbers and lettering. The dial has a wind indicator and a subsidiary seconds dial. The dial is signed “Chronometre Zenith” and is in 99% mint condition
The dial and movement are held in place within a metal case. The back of the case has a metal disc protecting. This is held in place with screws. The movement with a secure handle to make moving this panel easier.
The dial is protected by a large bezel – 85mm wide with a bevelled glass
The watch is wound and set by a winder on the side of the box.
The box has a hinged lid, middle and base. The box has its original key
The box measures 150mmx 120mm x 80mm and is in excellent condition
