This is a superb example of a 16 size, series 0, 23 Jewel hunter pocket watch by E. Howard Watch Co.

The watch case is extremely heavy and the total weight of the watch is 109g

Movement – the high grade nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement has large gold jewel settings, is jeweled to the barrel, gold caps on the lever and first wheel bridge. The movement is signed “E Howard Watch Co, Boston, 23 Jewels, Pat’d 08, Special Adjustment 5 position temperature” # 1103794 and is in 98% mint condition – very light marks only

Case – the movement comes in heavy 14K gold hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees and the front and back cover have Jurgensen lips which hug the stem when closed. The case is signed “Howard 14K” and is also engraved “E Howard Watch Co” on the inner cover. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 98% mint condition – superb condition

Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk. It has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Howard”. The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch measures 50mm wide x 12mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
