High Quality Figural Watch Stand with Letter Rack. Circa 1890

This is an extremely high quality and heavy watch stand. The main figure is of a fox in white metal. He is beautifully detailed and is in a jaunty pose. He has a gilt metal sword and a gilt metal feather in his cap. He is standing on a gilt metal disc decorated with raised foliage decoration. This in turn is on a bronze circular base with stepped sides. The fox has a hook in his right paw, for the watch. This also holds a gilt metal pike and shield. The shield has 2 thinner layers in between the two thicker outer layers. Here is the letter rack. The stand measures 190mm high x 80mm wide and is in 95% mint condition
