Unusual Fancy cased hunter pocket watch c1910

This is a Swiss pocket watch. The case was made by Holy Freres eminent makers of superb decorative cases

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has 15 Jewels and a lever escapement. The movement is in 90% mint condition – some spotting on the winding wheels.

Case – the movement comes in a white metal hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 45 degrees when you press the winder in and then needs to be lifted manually to the full 90.

The case is decorated with top quality work of a lion and lioness on one side and a lion with a kill and the lioness and her cubs on the other. Each side is beautifully executed and of the highest quality with the detailing being in high relief. The case is signed “Holy Freres” on both sides and is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt paste set hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is in 90% mint condition – 1 very faint hairline in the centre

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 46mm wide x 14mm deep
