Rare Junghans Kreigsmarine TORPEDO Timer c1940

This is not a pocket watch but a stop watch made by Junghams for the Kriegsmarine and were used in U Boats for timing torpedoes

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a start, stop, fly back and reset chronograph function with a register. The movement is signed “Junghans, 29a” # 3011. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a white metal case which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The case has the Kreigsmarine Mark with M. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a centre seconds hand and register. The dial has two outer chapter rings – 1 – 31 and the other 31 to 60. There is also a 15 minute register. The dial is signed “Jungans” and is in 75% mint condition – some small marks and hairlines

The watch has a yellowing plastic glass

The watch measures 51mm wide x 16mm deep
