Unusual French Waltham pocket watch c1960

This is a FRENCH made pocket watch, who bought the name Waltham when the original Waltham Watch Co, USA failed

Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Waltham Watch Co, Unadjusted, 17 Jewels, Made in France”. The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition

Case – the movement comes in a base metal case with a snap on back and front and which is signed “Waltham Watch Co”. The back of the case has a brushed steel finish with milled sides. The back is decorated with a detailed engraving of a locomotive of the period. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb

Dial – the paint on metal dial has stylish blue steel hands and is signed Waltham. The dial has continuous minute marks and a detailed image of a steam train. The dial is signed “Waltham, Made in France”. The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a plastic glass

The watch measures 49mm wide x 11mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
