18s 24 Jewel Illinois Bunn Special Pocket watch c1906

This is a rare American Rail road pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch Co

Movement – the ultra high grade nickel full plate movement has a micrometer regulator, large gold jewel settings and is decorated with fine damascening. The movement is signed “Bunn Special, Springfield, Ill, 24 Ruby Jewels, Adjusted Temperature 6 positions, isochronism” #  1836473 and is in 95% mint condition – a superb movement

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, pocket watch case which has  screw off back and front. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – metal coming through on the stem and on small patches on the bottom edge of the case

Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and is in the correct Gothic script for a 24 Jewel Bunn Special. The dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Illinois Watch Co”. The dial is in 85% mint condition – feint scattered hairlines but still a very good example

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch is stem wound  / lever set

The watch measures 54mm wide x 18mm deep
