Rolex half hunter pocket watch 1915

This watch was made by the Rolex watch company in Switzerland. It was sent to England where it was cased and sold

Movement – the 3 finger bridge movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Rolex Lever, Swiss Made” and is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated Dennison half hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover and the front cover pops open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has a blue enamel chapter ring on the front cover. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands, it is signed “Rolex” and is in 98% mint condition – a tiny mark between the 4 and 5.

The watch has a mineral glass over the dial and in the case

The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep

The watch is stem wound /  stem set 

The watch comes in a leather, silk and velvet lined box of the period
