Stylish ART DECO pocket watch by Elgin c1937

This is an American pocket watch made by the Elgin watch co circa

Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement has striped damascening, gold jewel settings and is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, 21 Jewels, Adj” 36562927. The movement is in 85% mint condition – some marks on the winding wheels and light scratches

Case – the movement comes in a 14K White gold filled case by Elgin. It has a snap on back and front. The square case has flared carved sides and a fancy bow. The case has a smooth plain finish on the back and is in 90% mint condition – light marks

Dial – the silvered dial has a striking Art deco style dial with stylised numbers and hands. The dial is signed “Elgin” and is in 95% mint condition

The watch has a bespoke synthetic glass which looks and feels like a mineral example

The watch is stem wound / stem set

The watch measures 52mm long inc bow x 43mm wide on the widest point x 11mm deep
