This is a Swiss watch made for the Oriental market c1890

The watch has a day, date, month and moonphase function

The day and date function change automatically every 24 hours and can be set manually by the pins on the side of the case. The moonphase function changes every 48 hours and can be set manually by the pin in the side of the case and the month function can only be set manually its respective pin

Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and is in 90% mint condition  - light scratches

Case – the movement comes in a massive gunmetal open face case, which has a hinged back and snap on bezel. The back cover is decorated with champlevé enamel work of birds and flowers in beautiful soft colours against a black background. The sides of the case have silver coloured edges with engraved and chased detailing. The case is in 95% mint condition – a superb example

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of gilt hands, including filigree hour and minute hands. The dial has a month function under the 12, a date function next to the 6, day function next to the 9 and a moonphase function under the subsidiary seconds dial. The dial is decorated with light blue enamel and gold points. The dial is in 90% mint condition – a light forked hairline on the four 

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.

The watch measures 66mm wide x 21mm deep

The watch is stem wound / pin set
