This is a very rare Rolex pocket watch. Not only is it a Rolex Prince Imperial pocket watch which is one of their best pocket watches produced in the 1930’s. This watch is the best of the best as it is also Observatory Quality and this particular grade is very hard to find.

Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a cap over the balance. The movement is signed “Rolex Observatory, Rolex Hairspring Observatory Quality, Timex 6 positions, 17 Rubies, Swiss Made, Rolex Patent Cap, Protecting escapement, Brevetes Francais, S.G.D.G” 1000441. The movement has gold train wheels and is in 100% mint condition

Case – the slim profile case has a snap on back and bezel. The inside of the case is signed “Rolex Prince Imperial, 25 Records Universells, Geneve Suisse, Chronometre Reglage de Precision, Certifie par bulletin official, Classe A, Metal Chrome SAR, F 1646 2124”

The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – the natural build up of light surface scratches

Dial – the silvered satin metal dial has an offset watch dial and subsidiary seconds dial. The dial has blue steel hands and is signed “Rolex Prince Imperial, Swiss Made”

The dial is in 90% mint condition – light tarnish

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 42.6mm wide x 9.4mm deep

The watch is stem wound/ stem set
