18s 24J Illinois Bunn Special pocket watch & two time zone hands c1904

This is an American railroad grade pocket watch with a special two time zone hour hand used for crossing time zones in America

Movement – the ultra high grade nickel full plate movement has a micrometer regulator, large gold jewel settings and is decorated with fine damascening. The movement is signed “Bunn Special, Springfield, Ill, 24 Ruby Jewels, Adjusted” #  1730779 and is in 95% mint condition – superb

Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, pocket watch case which has  screw off back and front. The case has floral engraving on the back with a smooth plain finish on the sides and is in 95% mint condition – light wear only

Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and is in the correct Gothic script for a 24 Jewel Bunn Special. The dial has rare blue steel and red two time zone hands. The dial is signed “Illinois Watch Co”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – very faint hairlines on the 4 and 8. 

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch is stem wound  / lever set

The watch measures 54mm wide x 16mm deep
