So often watches are described as skeletonised when only part of the movement is visible – the dial or back plate. This watch is skeletonised throughout and so both the back and dial plate have been carved away to reveal the workings and in this case, the repeater mechanism also.
The quarter repeater is activated by pressing down on the stem – to hear and see the watch chime, please click on the link below or copy and paste it into your browser.
Movement – the beautiful gilt skeleton movement has a steel balance with a cylinder escapement. The movement has a quarter repeater function with two steel hammers chiming on the inner gongs. The movement is in 90% mint condition – small marks and scratches
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged bezel and back cover. Inside there is a sprung gilt bezel holding a glass which protects the movement and you wind and set the watch through the two holes in this glass. The silver case has coin edged sides, engine turning and is in 90% mint condition – light wear only
Dial – the fully skeletonised dial reveals the motion work and repeater function. The dial has a white enamel chapter ring with blue steel Breguet hands and is in 85% mint condition – numerous small hairlines around the chapter ring
