Solid 9K Gold Half Hunter retailed by Asprey 1956

This is an English 9K Half hunter pocket watch which has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1936. The watch was made by Vertex but retailed by Asprey

Movement – the good quality nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Vertex Revue, 31, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 99% mint condition – superb condition

Case – the movement comes in a solid 9K gold Half hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front. The front cover has a slow lift to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has a very attractive dark blue enamel chapter on the front cover. The back of the case has an inscription on the back – reflected in the low price. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition 

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Vertex Asprey” The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a mineral glass over the dial and a plastic dial in the front cover.

The watch measures 49mm wide x 13mm deep
