This is a genuine Longines pocket watch made in Switzerland circa 1900
This is a much heavier and larger gold watch than normal.
The watch weighs in total 137g and is 56mm wide.
Movement – the high quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and a cam microregulator. The movement is signed “Longines” and is jeweled to the centre with gold jewel settings. The movement is decorated with damascening and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement cones in a massive 14K rose gold hunter case, which has a gold bezel holding a glass protecting the movement and a hinged inner, cover, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to just under 90 degrees when you press the winder in.
The back cover is decorated with two rows of medals in yellow gold with miniature detailing. The case is signed “Longines, Grand Prix, Paris, 1900”. The inside of the back and front covers are stamped 14K and signed “Longines”. The case is decorated with engine turning and a monogramed crest. The case is in 90% mint condition – this is a crisp case but there is one deep bruise on the side
Dial – the white enamel dial has blue steel hands and is signed “Longines”. The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch comes in a period wooden box lined with silk and velvet
