Unusual silver pocket watch with inverted visible balance c1870

This is a Swiss pocket watch which has the balance showing through the dial. To achieve this, the balance is in effect upside down and below the movement, so when you originally look at the watch, you think the balance is missing.

This is a Swiss watch which has faux English hallmarks

Movement – the unusual gilt 3 finger bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Courvoisier Freres, No 17573” and is in 90% mint condition – a super clean movement but there is one long scratch

Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has coin edged sides with a vacant crest on the back. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – some rubbing on the engine turning.

Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of blue steel filigree hands. The dial has the visible balance and regulator. The dial is in 99% mint condition
