Antique silver pocket watch by J W Benson with box c1910

This is a Swiss made pocket watch, made for and retailed by J W Benson

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement, 15 Jewels and is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The inner cover is signed “By Warrant to HM The Late Queen Victoria, Examined by J W Benson, 62 & 64 Ludgate Hill, London, Swiss Made”.

The case has a smooth plain finish on the sides and engine turning on the back with a vacant shield. The case has gold hinges and is in 95% mint condition – a superb case

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass

The watch measures 49mm wide x 13mm deep

The watch is stem wound / pin set

The watch comes in a leather J W Benson box lined with velvet and silk
